CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL -INCONGRUENT LIVES

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

INCONGRUENT LIVES

If we know how to do good, why do we determine to do bad?

THE Machiavellian philosopher affirmed with surprising harshness that human beings were not only evil by nature, but that all of them, which make up the collective of his people, were weak, unconscious and fickle. This statement is not new for our context, since the dawn of faith in God, we see how each of the prophets, in his own way, also affirmed this saying. Let us see, then, the case of the prophet Isaiah: From the sole of the foot to the head there is nothing healthy in him, but wound, swelling and putrid sore; they are not cured, bandaged, or softened with oil. Your land is destroyed, your cities set on fire, your land before you eaten by foreigners, and desolate as the desolation of foreigners. Now let us see the statement of the Apostle Paul:

“AND I KNOW THAT IN ME, THAT IS, IN MY FLESH, GOOD DOES NOT DWELL; BECAUSE WANTING GOOD IS IN ME, BUT NOT DOING IT.”

Romans 7.18

Only when the Gospel of Christ really makes an echo in us, we are aware of the reality that surrounds us and that logically also lives in each one of us. Yes, unfortunately we are bad by nature. It is not only about the original sin dogma of the human being, but we are talking about the Machiavellian and destructive nature of the same human being. Perhaps, for this reason, Jesus Christ affirmed: And he said to all: If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

“BECAUSE I DO NOT DO THE GOOD THAT I WANT, BUT THE EVIL THAT I DO NOT WANT, THAT I DO.”

Romans 7.19

To try to avoid having an incongruous life in us, we must follow the advice of Christ, die to ourselves, to that nature that binds and condemns us. In addition to this, we should be aware of the need to live with the Mind of Christ that the Holy Spirit of God gave us and thus, we can imitate Jesus Christ and be those little Christs that we are called to be.

God bless you.

Romanos 7.18

Romanos 7.19

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- NOT INNOCENT ACTIONS

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

NOT INNOCENT ACTIONS

We are what we say and live what we determine to follow.

WHEN we were children, we did innocent actions but not for that, all these actions did not result in acts of evil. I remember when I was a primary school student, I had some classmates who bothered and despised me because my mom sent me the lunch box, while they could go to the cantina and buy their snacks. Those apparently innocent acts affected me and became small wounds and thus, possibly a series of insecurities was born in me that even today I try to overcome. If today we could ask those guys who made fun of me why they did it, I am sure they would not know what to say. They will simply follow their own concepts and they did not do it with the firm intention of causing me those insecurities that plague me.

"AND IF WHAT I DO NOT WANT, I DO THIS, I APPROVE THAT THE LAW IS GOOD."

Romans 7.16

The Gospel of Christ reminds us that the greatest sign of love is to give oneself for others. Just as God did, he left all his glory and splendour in Heaven, became man and dwelt among us. God gave himself in perfect sacrifice and dying on the Cross of Calvary, he reconciled us with himself, something that we can never forget or pay for. Unfortunately, the evil that lives in each of us makes us do the wrong thing with God and with all the people who love us, surround us and seek to bless us.

“SO THAT IT IS NO LONGER I WHO DO THAT, BUT THE SIN THAT RESTS IN ME.”

Romans 7.17

As people who have been born again, we have to recognise that we are not perfect. In any case, we are people who are experiencing processes and many of them, these processes, are cyclical. Therefore, we miss the same target again and again. Let us cling our lives to the Mind of Christ, let us manifest his power and his mercy, let us try to imitate Jesus Christ as much as we can, because he was tempted in everything, however, at no time did he sin.

God bless you.

DEVOCIONAL CRISTIANO -ACCIONES POCO INOCENTES

DEVOCIONAL CRISTIANO

ACCIONES POCO INOCENTES

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - I DO WHAT I HATE

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

I DO WHAT I HATE

We are strangely incomprehensible.

I cannot imagine living alone with myself, because I am very happy to live with Ani del Rio, and thus make my existence more joyful, fun and not monotonous. I know that I must love her, respect her, take care of her and give her all the well-being possible and logically, that is within my reach. But if I am so happy to have Ani as my wife, why do I occasionally do things that she does not like and that I know hurt her? In the same way, we can extrapolate this example with everything that surrounds us, that is, take it to apply to our work, to our studies, to our home, and of course, to our intimate and personal relationship that we have with God.

“BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL; BUT I AM CARNAL, SOLD UNDER SIN.”

Romans 7.14

The Gospel of Christ reminds us of the urgent need we have with God. We are not saints, much less are we perfect. Thanks to the mercy, grace, and justification of Christ, we are sanctified and justified by him. That is, there is nothing we can do to obtain holiness, nor can we be righteous. God loves us, and has done everything necessary for us to understand that if we are far from him, we will simply do what we hate or what pleases us.

“BECAUSE WHAT I DO, I DON'T UNDERSTAND; FOR I DO NOT DO WHAT I WANT, BUT WHAT I HATE, THAT I DO.”

Romans 7.15

When I do things that affect Ani, I am not initially aware of it. But thanks to Holy Spirit and her claim, I am able to understand the evil I have done. God speaks to us constantly; God never stops revealing to us and telling us where we are failing. God loves us and wants us not to harm ourselves, much less harm others, and of course, God does not want anything we do to affect our intimate relationship with him.

God bless you.

DEVOCIONAL CRISTIANO - HAGO LO QUE ABORREZCO

 DEVOCIONAL CRISTIANO

No somos santos, mucho menos somos perfectos.

Romanos 7.15

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - A RECONCILIATION

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

A RECONCILIATION

Jesus said: he loves others as yourself.

EVERY fight or problem is better coped with when we are accompanied. Feeling supported is very important for all human beings. To do this, the first thing we should do is reconcile with ourselves. Remove from each of our hearts the fears, doubts, grudges, hatred, frustrations, recognise but not accept the diseases that affect us, the sins that make us miss the mark, etc. It is part of that internal reconciliation that we should live in order to be able to give to others and thus feel completely supported by all those who are around us.

“SO THAT THE LAW TO TRUTH IS HOLY, AND THE COMMANDMENT HOLY, JUST AND GOOD.”

Romans 7.12

The Apostle Paul, in his Gospel reminds us that the Law of Moses, holiness, justice, benevolence, the intimate relationship with the Father, reading the Bible daily, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are very good. These actions are very pleasant and it is necessary to live them, because within us that divine DNA that each one of us has incorporated, is constantly asking us for it.

“SO WHAT IS GOOD, BECOME DEATH TO ME? IN NO WAY; BUT SIN, TO SHOW ITSELF SIN, PRODUCED DEATH IN ME THROUGH WHAT IS GOOD, SO THAT BY THE COMMANDMENT SIN MIGHT BECOME EXTREMELY SINFUL.”

Romans 7.13

A reconciliation with oneself is totally necessary to accept that we are not perfect and that only God's love reconciles us with each of the aspects that we must accept. There is a saying that says: I am a Christian, I am not perfect, perhaps, this saying is related to that fact of the need to reconcile with each one of us before seeking a love reconciliation, work, study, and a long list of needs we have.

God bless you.
