CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - GOVERNANCE

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

GOVERNANCE

The problem is not with the government but with the poor governance that exists.

GOVERNANCE is the ability to lead people by the self-conviction that the proposed actions are necessary. For this reason, today the states govern, but they are few effective because the human being is ungovernable. This is not of the new generations, although it is increasingly accused, we see this problem throughout the history of humanity. The mythological facts of Genesis tell us that Adam and Eve did not submit to the governance proposed by God and they, self-justifying, left the glory of God to assume the glory of the adversary without preventing that, clinging to a new guarantor of life, they would become slaves of this new life guarantor. As expected, within ecclesial governance it is almost impossible in many cases. But, of course, the churches are also affected by this lifestyle where we not only try to subdue others, but, without realizing that we really are the ones who suffer the most, we continue to act in the same way without wanting to change.

"When the ten heard it, they began to get angry at James and at John."

Mark 10. 41

The human being in his powerlessness to see how corruption absorbs him generates all kinds of movements to protest against what they consider to be unfair, unfeasible, unsustainable. However, work begins at home, in everyone's mind. In this case, the apostles were displeased with James and John, since they yearned for a position of prominence and thus, to subdue others. And it is that the effect of governance, even though we consider ourselves spiritual, to submit us all.

"But Jesus, calling them, said to them: You know that those who are considered rulers of the nation’s lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them."

Mark 10. 42

Why call ourselves Christians if we are going to continue doing what ordinary people do? Have we not been called to be light and salt among the nations? Or, is it that the Spirit of Christ that gives us governance does not live in us and thus, assume that we are kings and priests just as Jesus Christ is? Finally, could it be that the darkness has covered both our minds and our eyes so as not to see what is happening around us? Today is a good day to get rid of all the ties that prevent us from moving forward in life.

God bless you.
