CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL -WITH EVERYTHING ON THE GRILL

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WITH EVERYTHING ON THE GRILL

What we do for God, let us do it with excellence if we do not do anything.

HOW I like to barbecue. Those who have had the opportunity to light a fire, know that the primitive basic essence awakens when we look for everything to fit: wood, air and a fire generator that allows that first tinder to emerge which will allow us to cook food and power enjoy not only food but also good company. I have to confess that I am not a vegetarian but my main diet is plant-based, much less I am or will be vegan. For this reason, when I have a barbecue, I like to put all my love so that everything goes well. The expression to put all the meat on the grill, really is very conducive at this time, because in the same way that I like to make barbecues to give everything to me, I like to serve in the Kingdom of God. I usually put my whole life in the service of God and his Church. There is always a verse that reverberates in my conscience as I work on behalf of people: But because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.

"Then calling her disciples, he said to them: Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have put into the ark;"

Mark 12. 43

If we remember, this woman gave a few pennies or cents in the offering chest. And we also know that God observes everything and clearly sees the intentions of our hearts, he knew that said person was giving everything that was in him, both physically and spiritually, this person was a whole being who was not afraid to be surprised, because given everything from a sincere heart. This widow served with all her being, therefore, more than two thousand years later we have to honour this woman.

“Because everyone has thrown in what is left over; but she, out of her poverty, threw all that she had, all of her sustenance."

Mark 12. 44

Mediocrity is a subtle burden that we usually carry around but when we go to take it off, it costs us a lot. That mediocrity is a scourge that has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God. God is perfect and he never does anything half done. To what extent are we willing to break that bad lifestyle? What will be the word that we have to receive to put everything on the roast fire? Are we really going to allow ourselves to not be with God because we are neither cold nor hot, but rather lukewarm?

 God bless you.
