CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- DRESSES OF CHRIST

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

DRESSES OF CHRIST

The stature of Christ must be our ideal.

A while ago I read and wrote: I am a Christian and not a perfect person. I fight daily not to give in to temptation and, of course, not to sin. In the same way, I have written on many occasions that due to my strong and explosive character, I tend to lose my composure easily. I try to control my anxiety and insecurities, because I literally lose the battle and overeat, even knowing that it harms me and affects my health. And believe it or not, I am a shy person, but to combat this state, I have become an outgoing and daring person. Day after day, I have to fight to keep that shyness at bay. I would like to sleep for hours and watch nature documentaries all day. To go against this, I dedicate myself to seeking God 24 hours a day, even though I am easily dispersed. Luckily, when I go to look for that presence of God, I know that he sees me because I am dressed (rather disguised) as his Son Jesus Christ. In this way, God does not see my imperfections, but he sees the reflection and smell of Jesus of Nazareth in me.

"THE NIGHT IS FAR SPENT, THE DAY IS NEAR. LET US CAST AWAY THE WORKS OF DARKNESS, AND PUT ON THE ARMS OF LIGHT.”

Romans 13.12

Let us pray together: God, your Light is enough for me. I beg you for the love you have for me through your Son Jesus Christ, that you continue to see me dressed as him. Forgive my sins, my faults, my doubts, my lack of faith and help me to give my whole being to you so that you may be glorified.

This reality of our condition as weak and sinful has to be present in our minds and not try to deny it, because it is simply there and we can only overcome it when the Mind of Christ acts in us. Jesus of Nazareth, gave himself for each one of us on the Cross of Calvary. There he died, but on the third day, with power and authority he rose again. With it, he defeated death, darkness and the adversary. He gave us salvation, repurchased us, and reunited us with Heavenly Father, so that in eternity we may enjoy his peace.

“LET US WALK AS DAYTIME, HONESTLY; NOT IN GLUTTONY AND DRUNKNESS, NOT IN LUST AND LASCIVIOUSNESS, NOT IN CONTENTS AND ENVY, BUT PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND DO NOT PROVIDE FOR THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH.”

Romans 13.13-14

Let us pray together: Jesus Christ, if you did it, probably with your help, so will I. Therefore, I give you the throne of my life, I name you my Redeemer and Saviour. Help me to hear your voice and allow your Holy Spirit to guide me to your stature.

It is therefore not about wearing a mask as a hypocrite would. It is about really understanding that we can never do it on our own. Rather, when we acknowledge our weakness, we allow ourselves to be strengthened through Christ Jesus. For eternity we will give glory to God, let us take advantage of this time to clothe ourselves with Christ and enjoy salvation from now on. Let us teach this message to all humanity, because all creatures are waiting for us to prove that Christ is alive.

God bless you.
