CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- WE HAVE HOPE

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WE HAVE HOPE

Everything that we are living, Christ freed us from it.

I have never presented myself as a sinless human being. On many occasions I have talked about my character, behaviour problems against my family, etc. what if I am sure is, the grace, mercy and love of God, overcomes all these evils that I live. I hope that all these mistakes that I make in life will be removed from me. I recognise that the full joy of Salvation, I will live together with Jesus Christ in eternity. More, inside me, I still have faith in the Son of God, that in this life, I will be able to overcome many of those sins and in this way, I will demonstrate that he lives in me. For this, I die, literally and metaphorically, to myself. Because the only way there is to have that hope and faith is by living with the Mind of Christ, governing my whole being.

“FOR EVEN CHRIST DID NOT PLEASE HIMSELF; BUT, AS IT IS WRITTEN: THE REVILES OF THOSE WHO REVILED YOU, FELL ON ME.”

Romans 15.3

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, thank you so much because you freed me from the burden I would have to carry. Jesus Christ, your action on the Cross of Calvary, freed me from death and the kingdom of darkness. Now I don't live in me, but you in me, ruling every step I take.

Have we ever thought about whether we could have endured what Jesus of Nazareth went through for each one of us? That is to say, Christ was beaten in the face until he was disfigured, they spat on him, they tore his ribs, he suffered serious dehydration, he bled to death, they pierced his hands and feet, they placed a crown of thorns on him (surely they will have nailed it to him), on an emotional level they humiliated him, degraded him, underestimated him, delegitimised him, discarded him as God. Well, this is the minimum list of what Christ endured for each one of us and as incredible as it may seem, no human being will have to endure it, because Christ suffered all this for all humanity. So how can we not hope in the Son of God, Jesus Christ who is our redeemer and saviour?

“FOR THE THINGS THAT WERE WRITTEN BEFORE WERE WRITTEN FOR OUR TEACHING, SO THAT THROUGH PATIENCE AND THE CONSOLATION OF THE SCRIPTURES WE MAY HAVE HOPE.”

Romans 15.4

Let us pray together: Jesus Christ, in you all ancient promises are fulfilled, we do not have to wait any longer for their fulfilment. You have freed, restored, healed and saved us, help us to be an example for the rest of humanity.

Hallelujah! Glory to God! Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God's love for all humanity. Everything that God had pending to manifest, was already done through the work of Jesus of Nazareth, that is, his passion, death and resurrection of him. Now it is up to each one of us to recognise our need for God, accept the love that he has for us and declare that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the only true God. Let us therefore put all our trust in him and that he paid for each one of us the debt that we had and that separated us from God the Heavenly Father.

God bless you. Remember to share this text to all the people you can.
