CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- WE MUST CONFIRM IT

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WE MUST CONFIRM IT

If we are going to deviate, let's wait for confirmation.

WHAT exasperates the most is the wait itself. We are by nature, impatient beings. Despite this, the Book of Proverbs constantly tells us about the need to be patient and persevering. For example: He who is patient shows great discernment; he who is aggressive shows much foolishness. I am very aware that I am writing this message first for myself, because I tend to be very impatient and on many occasions, I have not waited for confirmation from God in a question asked of him. Therefore, I have embarked on undertakings that, obviously, God does not have to support me. This very morning I said in prayer to God: “Dad, how I would like to have you face to face and wait to hear your audible voice for what I am asking you; however, I know you won't. Please give me patience and the spiritual ability to have my eyes open to see your response through everything you send me as signs".

“FOR IT SEEMS GOOD TO THEM, AND THEY ARE DEBTORS TO THEM; FOR IF THE GENTILES HAVE BEEN MADE PARTNERS OF THEIR SPIRITUAL GOODS, SHOULD THEY ALSO MINISTER TO THEM OF THE MATERIALS.”

Romans 15.27

Let us pray together: My God, just as Jesus of Nazareth taught his disciples, I beg you to teach me to have patience and perseverance to know how to wait for your time, because you are perfect and you know everything that is good for my life.

The money raised by those who were outside the quote unquote Hebrew grace, were willing to help needy Jews. And of course someone had to bring them the money. At that time, there were no specialised money transfer companies, they came in person at the delivery. Of course, the Apostle, who had to go to Jerusalem, would seize the moment. Something similar is in our hands. That is to say, if we are aware that in this life and on this Planet, we are only pilgrims and that we are passing through, we will understand that we must fulfil the mission and we must wait for confirmation from God. Thus, we will do the work entrusted by Jesus Christ himself: And Jesus approached and spoke to them saying: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you every day, until the end of the world. Amen

“SO, WHEN I HAVE FINISHED THIS, AND HAVE DELIVERED THIS FRUIT TO YOU, I WILL PASS BETWEEN YOU ON THE WAY TO SPAIN.”

Romans 15.28

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, now that I am aware that I have to teach about the Kingdom of Heaven, give me the desire to do and fulfil your mandate. In the same way, confirm me with whom you are working to do your Holy and perfect will.

Another key point that I would like to comment on is the importance of a biblical theme that we encounter two or three times. Normally, it means God's confirmation of an act and shows his desire for us to do it. In this case, it is the second time that the Apostle assures the Church of Rome that when he is on his way to Spain, he will visit them. Did he fulfil it or not? Really for our salvation is not a relevant issue. The fact is that, within the apostolic will, missionary work was always present and that he, I am almost sure, was waiting for confirmation from God about his visit to Spain and Rome. To this last city he did, because apparently, that was where he died.

God bless you. Remember to share this text to all the people you can.
