CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL-THE ACTS-

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

THE ACTS

Our name speaks of our character.

THE book of the Acts of the Apostles should change its name. I am very consistent that it is only my opinion. More at the end of this book, those who read it completely with me through these devotionals, we will verify that in reality they were not the Acts of the Apostles but, the Acts of the Holy Spirit on the Primitive Church. I am a lover of the figure of God through the Holy Spirit, because it was the pledge of love and security that Jesus Christ left us until he returns a second time. There are primordial theological issues such as the substantiation of God in the three figures we know of him, but what, I do not want to make any kind of emphasis on this issue. Therefore, I will treat the subject of the Holy Spirit as he wishes it to be conveyed. Because my desire is to praise the Holy Spirit and I will do it by obeying his dictates.

“DEAR THEOPHILO, IN MY FIRST BOOK I REFERRED TO EVERYTHING THAT JESUS BEGAN TO DO AND TEACH UNTIL THE DAY HE WAS TAKEN TO HEAVEN, AFTER GIVING INSTRUCTIONS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE APOSTLES HE HAD CHOSEN.”

Acts 1. 1-2

Let us pray together: Good and Almighty God, thank you for manifesting yourself in my life through your Holy Spirit, who guides, instructs, comforts, accompanies, and corrects me every day of my life. Allow me to obey you and follow your commands by listening to your Holy Spirit.

Let's do a little Biblical history: the book of the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospel of Luke, were commissioned by the Apostle Paul to Lucas. This man, that is to say Lucas, was a doctor, statesman, writer and researcher who, taking the Q, the Testimony of Christ and the Gospel of Mark, investigated, organised and edited, putting the text we have in our hands in the correct order. Another fact to take into account is that this letter was written for you and me, Lucas had the detail to put that it was written for that beloved of God; θεόφιλος in Greek gives us the aforementioned meaning, another possible translation is friend of God. Luke and Paul were not disciples of Christ. Paul received instructions from the Holy Spirit and simply obeyed. Lucas took Paul's orders as his own and fully carried out the work entrusted.

“AFTER SUFFERING DEATH, HE PRESENTED THEM GIVING MANY CONVINCING PROOFS THAT HE WAS ALIVE. FOR FORTY DAYS HE APPEARED TO THEM AND SPOKE TO THEM ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

Acts 1.3

Let us pray together: Father, with great enthusiasm I prepare to read the book of the Acts of the Holy Spirit. I want you to talk to me and instruct me through these devotionals and give me revelation of what is hidden in it.

Perhaps very few have the privilege of dealing personally with Jesus Christ. Some will simply hear a brief murmur that they will consider to be the voice of the Holy Spirit and others, we will only be guided by God's teachings by what we can understand through reading different biblical texts. The fact is, today we have convincing evidence of the existence of Jesus of Nazareth because of all the miracles he continues to perform in our lives. With this, we will have to be convincing to others to continue expanding the Kingdom of Heaven.

God bless you. Remember to share this text to all the people you can.
