CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - HEAR WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

HEAR WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY

Only those who do not want to listen are truly deaf.

EVERY time I read the book of Acts I am convinced to change the name. Because each chapter of Acts is a faithful reflection of the work of the Holy Spirit in each of the apostles and disciples of Christ. The Holy Spirit is God's fulfilled promise in which he promised to dwell among human beings permanently. This promise is here: Have them build me a sanctuary so that I may dwell in their midst. Two separate points but within the same topic, it is worth remembering that for God, the Holy Spirit is untouchable. During many studies, I have spoken of God's love, grace, and mercy for humanity. However, Jesus of Nazareth himself warned us about the only sin that will not be forgiven: That is why I tell you that all sin and all blasphemy can be forgiven, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven to anyone.

"BUT SOME, MOCKING, SAID: THEY ARE DRUNK!"

Acts 2.13

Let us pray together: my God, glorious and majestic is your Holy Name. But please, God, do not allow me to ever speak or curse your Holy Spirit so as not to hurt your Holy and perfect will and thus, always be accountable to you and all my sins and blasphemies are forgiven.

So what is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit of God? Honestly, for me, it is not possible to give a single answer, because the range of possibilities that we can have is very wide. In any case, I am inclined to take a couple of examples to understand what it is to blaspheme against him: we see the first example in these people from the previous verse. Because they did not understand what was happening with the disciples of Christ, they dared to misinterpret what happened. Thus, a gift of the Holy Spirit was called drunkenness. Along the same lines, pretending to make fun of the human being, in reality, they made a mockery of the Holy Spirit of God. Here concludes my first example.

“THEN PETER STAND UP TOGETHER WITH THE OTHER ELEVEN APOSTLES, AND IN A LOUD VOICE SAID: “JEWS AND ALL THOSE WHO LIVE IN JERUSALEM, KNOW THIS AND HEAR WHAT I AM ABOUT TO TELL YOU.”

Acts 2.14

Let us pray together: Beloved Father, I wish to pay close attention to everything that happens around me so as not to sin by action or omission. Holy Spirit, I know that if you guide me I will not lose, in any case, I will always come out triumphant when listening and obeying your voice.

I will give the second example by citing the same apostolic phrase mentioned here: listen well to what I am going to say, if we are not completely convinced that such a specific miracle is the result of human emotion, let us not speak ill of this person and the event happened. It is not so that, pretending to appear very "spiritual" we earn a divine rejection for being blaspheming. So let us be cautious when giving our opinions about the gifts, talents, fruits, miracles, and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, because He, who is equal to God, is sovereign to do what he sees fit, with whomever he wants and to whomever he wants. the time that best suits you. In no case, we are the owners or lords of God. Clearly, we are only administrators of his love, grace, and mercy to give to other human beings so that they reach the feet of Christ.

God bless you. Remember to share this text with all the people you can.
