CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - LET'S TURN TO GOD

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

LET'S TURN TO GOD

We have only certainty in God.

THERE ARE hundreds of promises given by God to guarantee our progress in the extension of the Kingdom of Heaven. Some of these promises are freely available so to speak. That is, all human beings will enjoy them. However, without any hint of contradiction, certain promises are conditional. In other words, for these promises to be fulfilled, there must be certain circumstances conducive to their occurrence. If those elements are not there, previously prescribed by God in his Word, yes or yes, it will not happen. The greatest promise was given by God since the Old Testament was the indwelling of his essence in the human being, which he fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth. As a consequence of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, he promised the Paracletos (παράκλητος) for all those who will confess that he is the Son of God. And, this is a good example of a conditional promise, because for what is to happen, one must return to God, by recognising Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of God, who is God himself and came to establish the Kingdom of Heaven for all humanity.

"PETER ANSWERED THEM: TURN TO GOD AND BE BAPTISED EACH ONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, SO THAT GOD FORGIVE YOU YOUR SINS FROM HIM, AND SO HE WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY SPIRIT."

Acts 2.38

Let us pray together: Daddy God, in your grace, love and mercy, you have been willing to give me your Holy Spirit. Therefore, I recognise Jesus of Nazareth as your Son, who redeemed me and gave me eternal life with you, O Almighty God!

Now, the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in each one of us will be according to his desire. So much so that the Apostle left us a clear reminder of it: All this is done by the same and unique Spirit, who distributes to each one as he determines. What we can be sure of is, this promise is for each one of us, those of us who have accepted the eternal reign of Christ, who rules both in Heaven and in each one of our hearts and minds.

“FOR THIS PROMISE IS FOR YOU AND FOR HIS CHILDREN, AND ALSO FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE FAR AWAY; HE IS SAYING, FOR ALL THOSE WHOM THE LORD OUR GOD WANTS TO CALL."

Acts 2.39

Let us pray together: Dear God, today you have called me and I am listening to your voice. Thank you my God because you loved me first, you bought me and you redeemed me. Now I enjoy your Holy Spirit acting in me. Allow each act of mine to show that Christ is alive in me and can serve as a witness to others for what, they come to your presence.

What great news we have to announce today: Christ is alive and his Holy Spirit is available to all of us who believe in Jesus Christ! This is what the Gospel of Christ is all about. This is the Good News that we must proclaim to others. Let us remember, God, burns with the desire to share with all human beings in an intimate relationship, with full communication and teachings of the strategies of the Kingdom of Heaven, just as Jesus of Nazareth did in the time of his earthly ministry.
