CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - A FALSE EXPECTATION

 CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

A FALSE EXPECTATION

It is easy to believe in gold because we come to consider that it is gold.

WE´RE talking about false expectations and that these are very detrimental to our lives. One of those false expectations is to consider that when we become Christians, that is, when we put our trust in God and everything we experience, we do it believing that God will save us from it; the false expectation is to consider that we have safe conduct of not having problems. The false expectation comes when we believe that we will cross water and that they are not going to wet us or even throw us to try to drown us. The false expectation makes us cross the fire and consider that not a single splinter or ember of fire will fall on us. Finally, the false expectation tells us that when we enter the desert, yes or yes, God will give us water and take us to spring, but God tells us what, he will do his holy will because it is holy, perfect, And pleasant.

"BUT IN THIS WAY GOD FULFILLED WHAT HE HAD ANNOUNCED BEFORE USING ALL THE PROPHETS: THAT HIS MESSIAH HAD TO SUFFER."

Acts 3, 18

Let us pray together: Father God, I have created so many false expectations in my life that I have lost my way. Many of these false expectations I have generated myself and others have simply been instilled in me. Heavenly Father, today I need your Light, to see what is behind that dense cloud of false expectations.

In other studies I have said: "Jesus of Nazareth was born as the Son of God, but his decisions made him the Christ and Lord of all humanity." Now, Jesus never had false expectations of what he had to do and suffer. Apparently, Jesus of Nazareth did not belong to any of the known biblical schools of his time, but he was a clear connoisseur of the promises of suffering that he had to suffer according to the prophecies given by Isaiah to him. That is why, at the moment of giving up his life in the Gethsemane garden, Jesus said: “Father, if you want, take this cup from me; but not my will, but yours be done”. That is why God allowed: "And an angel from heaven appeared to him to strengthen him", Lc. 22, 42-43.

“THEREFORE, SO THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE ERASED, REPENT AND RETURN TO GOD, SO THAT TIMES OF REST MAY COME FROM THE LORD, SENDING YOU THE MESSIAH WHO HAD ALREADY BEEN PREPARED FOR YOU, WHICH IS JESUS."

Acts 3, 19-20

Let's pray together: Jesus of Nazareth, I long to reach your stature even though I don't understand exactly what it means or how much I have to suffer to get there. What I am aware of is that, in this life, I will have to go through many bad situations and circumstances, more in you, Jesus Christ, I ask you to help me and help me when I can't take it anymore, or take it anymore. I ask you Jesus Christ because he only trusted you.

So, one of the most effective ways to break with these false expectations is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent of the state of life that we have lived absent from God and thus, begin to live free from false expectations because we change our way of thinking (a natural mind) to begin living with the Mind of Christ that is already in us.

God bless you. Remember to share this text with as many people as possible.
