Hungry love doesn't last.

HOW difficult it is to love in an imposed way. I am one of the people who cannot understand arranged marriages between monarchs, for example. I understand that some agreements are necessary for the socio-cultural stability of a kingdom, but it is very difficult for me to understand that you cannot love the person you have by your side. Perhaps for this reason, European monarchs today follow the trend of marrying for love and not for the strategy of the kingdom, as Philip IV did with Leticia in Spain. God gave us the following order: Master, what is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is similar: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets. The problem arises when we have to love those who have hurt us, that is, we must love our enemies. And this is also a divine mandate: But I say: love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In this way, you will be acting as a true child of your Father who is in heaven. For he gives the light of his sun to both the bad and the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you only love those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even the corrupt tax collectors do the same. Here is a curious fact, Christ gave us the order to love, but he does not ask us to be friends with them. So, the order to love all humanity is a good requirement on the part of God for each one of us.

“LOVE ONE ANOTHER WITH BROTHERLY LOVE, RESPECTING AND HONOURING EACH OTHER.”

Romans 12.10

Let us pray together: Eternal God, in your Word we find the affirmation that it is impossible to love you if we cannot love our neighbours whom we can see and touch. We increase faith to love everyone and thus be able to extend your Kingdom oh God.

We have an apologetic word that says: and because wickedness has multiplied, the love of many will grow cold. And that evil, we can also understand as the absence of manifestation of the love that God commands us to have for others. Albert Einstein is credited with this phrase, which explains this reasoning very well: Evil is the result of the absence of God in the hearts of human beings. It is like the cold that occurs in the absence of heat, or the darkness that reigns in the absence of light.

 

“NEVER STOP BEING DILIGENT; RATHER, SERVE THE LORD WITH THE FERVOR GIVEN BY THE SPIRIT.”

Romans 12.11

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, in the Our Father, we confess that we want your will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven. For this, we cry out that you teach us to love others as you love all humanity.

All that is God is love. Even the holy wrath of God is a form of manifestation of his love, however incredible it may seem to us. If God requires us to love humanity, it is because he loved first. If God asks us for something, it is because he has previously done it. Let's have faith, let's believe God in his promises and words, and he will take care of making all the blessings that he has prepared for each one of us come true.

WITH SINCERE LOVE

Just like faith, if we don't have love, crying out to God is the solution.

I WILL many months we have been trying to dig-be vulnerable in front of those who read this devotional: my body smells very bad. Sincerely from head to toe, therefore, I tend to be very careful in my personal hygiene and use cologne or eau de cologne every day, I can not miss deodorant and foot powder. The clothes must be washed with antibacterial, softener and odourant. In winter the shower is daily and in summer, up to three times a day. I wash my mouth three times a day and I usually chew a lot of gum. I take care of the beard with specialised shampoo and balm for it.

For many years I have worked with homeless people. Obviously, the daily shower is not easy for them, nor is it easy to keep their clothes clean. And that discomfort that I suffer from my body odour, I have to experience in those with whom God sends me to work. This situation taught me what "God's liquid love" is. This type of love, which is not discovered that easily in the Bible, is reflected on two occasions: the first is when Jesus of Nazareth meets the ex-possessed Gadana, he was living among the tombs, chained and in street condition. In the second example we find it with the resurrection of his best friend Lazarus; let's remember that Mary tells Jesus that she already “stinks”, because Lazarus has been in the tomb for three days. Once she raised Lazarus from the dead, Jesus gave the order to wash and clothe him. How did Jesus of Nazareth cope with that bad smell? And my only answer is, he worked, with sincere love, that "liquid love of God." And this kind of love is what I claim from God when I have in front of me, people that I can't easily stand because of their smells.

“WE HAVE DIFFERENT GIFTS, ACCORDING TO THE GRACE THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO US. IF SOMEONE'S GIFT IS PROPHECY, LET THEM USE IT IN PROPORTION WITH YOUR FAITH in him; IF IT IS TO PROVIDE A SERVICE, LET THEM PROVIDE IT; IF IT IS THE ONE TO TEACH, LET THEM TEACH; IF IT IS TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS, LET IT ENCOURAGE THEM; IF IT IS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED, LET THEM GIVE WITH GENEROSITY; IF HE IS THE ONE TO LEAD, LET HE LEAD WITH CAREFULNESS; IF IT IS TO SHOW COMPASSION, DO IT WITH JOY.”

Romans 12.6-8

Let us pray together: Father God, I know that you have given me gifts, some I already recognise in me, ministers that others I know will give by revelation for my work with others. Help me God.

Being clear about the purposes of our lives will help us reach our goals. Being clear about our goals will give us the facility to work with the gifts of the Spirit of God, empowering that ministry given by God. And so we achieve God's dreams for our lives: the Extension of the Kingdom of Heaven for all humanity and thus liberating all creation.

“LOVE MUST BE SINCERE. HATE EVIL; HOLD ON TO THE GOOD.”

Romans 12.9

Let us pray together: My God, I long with all my heart to love only you and in this way, cling to the fact of doing good, rejecting evil and everything that it involves. I want to extend your Kingdom and preach your love, fill me with your Holy Spirit and sincere liquid love to take it to all those who are in need of you.

For now, we have to use those gifts that we are already aware of: serve, care, listen, advise, help, guide, teach, etc. to others. Because, for what we are currently doing, we are already trained. For what we are going to do, the Holy Spirit will train us and activate the necessary gifts so that these new challenges and new goals are fulfilled. But what we must keep in mind is to do it with sincere love, with the liquid love of God, just as Jesus Christ did, just as the Mind of Christ asks us to do so.

WE ARE WHO WE ARE

Being decisive is key to reaching the goal.

FOR many months we have been trying to dig into the Gospel of the Apostle Paul, through his letter to the Church of Rome, what God may be speaking to us today. For me, it has been challenging trying to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit in spite of myself. This collection of revelation messages have also taught me that the Gospel of Christ is more alive than ever and that this message of Good News of Salvation must continue to spread throughout the rest of humanity, with or without our help desire. Because the Kingdom of God will never stop due to the negligence of the human being, let us remember: He (Jesus Christ) answered them: ―I assure you that if they keep quiet, the stones will scream. The need to get serious arises because we are almost at the end of the book. Therefore, we will see the tone of the Apostle rise in tone. The Church of Rome was born by Jews exiled to the capital of the Roman Empire. But in turn, when Paul comes to preach, they convert to Christ. In the same way, each one of us, one day decided to believe and today they have to speak to us with a tone perhaps, a little strong.

“THEREFORE, BROTHERS, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MERCY OF GOD, I ASK THAT EACH OF YOU, IN SPIRITUAL WORSHIP, OFFER YOUR BODY AS A LIVING, HOLY AND PLEASANT SACRIFICE TO GOD”

Romans 12.1.

Let us pray together: Our God, allow us to be a holy and pleasing sacrifice to you today and may this serve as a testimony to others.

We have seen that nothing we have belongs to us, not even our own lives. Perhaps, is there an offering that we can make to God to thank him for everything he has done for us, knowing that he sacrificed himself for humanity? And the answer is simple, no. So, the only thing we can give to God will be: give ourselves in sincere adoration, perfect and pleasing to God.

“DO NOT CONFORM TO THE PRESENT WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY RENEWING YOUR MIND OF IT. SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO VERIFY WHICH IS THE WILL OF GOD, GOOD, PLEASANT AND PERFECT.”

Romans 12.2

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, help us not to accept what society wants from us. Allow us to be a vessel of yours to bless the rest of humanity.

It is very easy to follow the current of the society in which we live. The hard part is facing it and putting up with everything that comes our way when we do not accept it. God's model is that he, being the most admired being of all that exists, became minimal and was reduced to being part of the same creation, through a human being. And the thing did not stop there, but when the time was right, he presented himself as a perfect offering to pay the ransom for all human beings and creation. And doing an act like these makes the human being become a perfect offering. Through the renewal of our natural mind by the Mind of Christ we will achieve it. The good thing is that this Mind, that of Christ, is already in us through his Holy Spirit that dwells in all of us who accept Christ in our hearts and minds. Let us get serious, let us attend to the Gospel of Christ and extend the Kingdom of Heaven.

EVERYTHING IS OF GOD

We are just mere stewards of God.

I REMEMBER perfectly as a child how it bothered me to talk and establish a healthy relationship with people who were wealthy. The problem was honestly mine, because I, in most cases, felt inferior to them. I considered that every joke they played on me was simply to humiliate me and remind me that I was born in very unfavourable economic conditions compared to them. And this caused me to approach my wealthy friends for a long time to get some kind of benefit from them. In this same sense, this resentment directed at riches became an obsession. I came to claim senseless promises to God about my life, of course they were not answered, so a feeling of frustration grew in me before God for not seeing those promises of prosperity fulfilled in me. But thank God, the moment came when I understood, thanks to divine revelation, that everything that exists was created by God and therefore, all of this belongs to Christ and that I had received it by divine inheritance. For this reason, the greatest blessing that I could receive had already been fulfilled, which is Salvation, and that is materialised in: All praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all kinds of spiritual blessings in heavenly places, because we are united to Christ.

"OR WHO GAVE HIM FIRST, THAT HE MIGHT BE REWARDED?"

Romans 11. 35

In the parable of the prodigal son, we usually fall short because we do not pay much attention to what happened to the older brother: But he, answering, said to the father: Behold, I have served you so many years, never having disobeyed you, and you have never disobeyed me. given not a kid to enjoy myself with my friends. But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with harlots, you have killed the fatted calf for him. He then told him: Son, you are always with me, and all my things are yours. Nothing, absolutely nothing that we own belongs to us. Everything belongs to God and they must return to him. As much as we give it as an inheritance to our descendants. And if today we physically have nothing, it is because we feel like that older brother who never took what the Father offered him. The Gospel of Christ comes to give us freedom, with it, bring us closer to the Heavenly Father with full inheritance rights, because we have already been blessed with all blessings from heavenly places.

“FOR OF HIM, AND THROUGH HIM, AND TO HIM, ARE ALL THINGS. LET THE GLORY BE HIS FOR CENTURIES. AMEN."

Romans 11. 36

So, not even health belongs to us because we were bought by the Precious Blood of Christ. To him, we belong and nothing we own is ours. The apostle declared: And do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, pleasing and perfect will of God. And it is that only the Mind of Christ manifested in each one of us, will make possible that renewal of understanding and we will be able to enjoy the blessings given by God, extending in turn, the kingdom of Christ wherever we are.
