CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL -I HAVE ALSO SINNED

 CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

I HAVE ALSO SINNED

God uses me despite my imperfections.

I DO NOT  know the first human being who is without sin. In any case, God can use whoever he wants to make an instrument of blessings for the rest of humanity. A few years ago, I remember having a conversation with my father-in-law, in which he told me about the need to be totally pure or holy to be a representative of God, which is totally true. The problem arises when people pretend that human beings who are priests of God, walk a foot above the ground and that our religious holiness is such that through our pores, we perspire angelic fragrances instead of smelly sweat. Personally, I really like to speculate, but considering that we priests should be like that definitely borders on stupidity.

"AND IF HIS TRANSGRESSION FROM HIM IS THE WEALTH OF THE WORLD, AND HIS DEFECTION FROM HIM THE WEALTH OF THE GENTILES, HOW MUCH MORE IS HIS FULL RESTORATION?"

Romans 11. 12

The Gospel of Christ reaches our hearts and will make changes in our lives. On many occasions, these changes will be transcendental and on others, it will take us years to achieve a definitive change. The Jewish people of Israel served as an example for the Church, with this it is intended that the same errors that we have recorded in the OT are not repeated. However, this does not mean that they are better or worse than us. The saying goes: “ignoring the past will make us repeat the same thing in the future”. For this reason, we have the OT as a biblical testimony of what we have and do not have to do.

"BECAUSE I SPEAK TO YOU, GENTILES. BECAUSE I AM AN APOSTLE TO THE GENTILES, I HONOR MY MINISTRY, IN CASE I MAY IN SOME WAY MAKE THOSE OF MY BLOOD JEALOUS, AND MAKE SOME OF THEM SAVED.”

Romans 11. 13-14

Jesus Christ said: Let one of you who is without sin cast the first stone… Woman, where are you? Does no one condemn you anymore? Nobody, sir. Nor do I condemn you. Now leave and do not sin again. If Jesus of Nazareth did not condemn this woman, why should we condemn others knowing that we also have sins? Why should we condemn nations, cultures, ethnic groups and races, knowing that in the recent past, we were also as they are today? Let us not condemn anyone, let us extend the kingdom of Christ, let us demonstrate the love of God for all humanity.

God bless you.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - UNSPEAKABLE MOANS

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

UNSPEAKABLE MOANS

Knowing the culture brings us closer to understanding it a little more.

TODAY I live in the city of Leeds, in the north of England. I came to this city seven years ago and I still ca not speak English fluently, much less, I manage to understand everything they say to me and therefore, countless times, I have made mistakes and of course, I have been corrected because I have done things wrong. Thank God, my children, Daniela and Juanma, have managed to fit in, understand and speak the English language naturally enough to enter the University. When I need to be perfectly understood before any office or with any procedure that I am carrying out, I take advantage of my children and likewise, I guarantee that my interlocutors understand me perfectly and no mistakes are made that could be incorrigible.

“FOR IN HOPE WE WERE SAVED; BUT THE HOPE THAT IS SEEN IS NOT HOPE; BECAUSE WHAT SOMEONE SEES, WHAT WAIT FOR IT? BUT IF WE EXPECT WHAT WE DO NOT SEE, WE PATIENTLY WAIT FOR IT.”

Romans 8.24-25

The Gospel of the Kingdom of Christ gives us both the faith and the hope of knowing that God will always be with us to guide us, instruct us and lead us on the right path. We only have to let ourselves be governed by the Holy Spirit of God and thus, do the holy and perfect will of God the Father.

“AND IN THE SAME WAY THE SPIRIT HELPS US IN OUR WEAKNESS; FOR WHAT SHOULD WE ASK AS APPROPRIATE, WE DON'T KNOW, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF INTERCEDES FOR US WITH UNSPEAKABLE MOANS."

Romans 8.26

In the same way that my children help me to make my life nice and good here in England, the Holy Spirit of God is within us to achieve that guidance, correction and help at the right time. And as this last verse says, if we don't know what to pray, what to say, how to act, what to decide, etc. the Holy Spirit of God will do it for us so that the Heavenly Father may be glorified. Let us be instructed by the Holy Spirit of Christ and let us give these good things of salvation to others.

God bless you.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL -WHO CAN BE FREE?

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WHO CAN BE FREE?

In an extraordinary moment, extraordinary measures must be taken.

WE ARE  precisely in one of the hardest moments of human existence. Everywhere we are attacked so that we are what we are not. On the other hand, global economic tensions make us try to live what we cannot, leading governments to in debt the next three generations of their fellow citizens to loans that are impossible to pay. Currently, the conflict in Ukraine triggers all the alerts of a possible third world war and, in this case, according to the Russian president who affirmed the possibility of the use of atomic weapons, it intensifies the end of the war as we know it. We see then, that fight between those who pretend to do what is good, against those who do what is bad. In this same way, we observe those who, pretending to do what is good, do the complete opposite, declaring what is bad as good and what is good as bad.

“FOR ACCORDING TO THE INNER MAN, I DELIGHT IN THE LAW OF GOD; BUT I SEE ANOTHER LAW IN MY MEMBERS, REBELLING AGAINST THE LAW OF MY MIND, AND TAKING ME CAPTIVE TO THE LAW OF SIN WHICH IS IN MY MEMBERS.”

Romans 7.22-23

Who really knows the limits between good and evil? Who can guide us to do good? And the answer seems very logical, but at the same time, difficult to digest: the only one who can free us is the Holy Spirit of God. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we receive his Spirit as clear evidence that he lives in each of us. And now comes the part that corresponds to each one of us: living with the Mind of Christ and letting ourselves be guided just as he did in his time here on earth.

“WORRY ME! WHO WILL DELIVER ME FROM THIS BODY OF DEATH? I THANK GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. SO, I MYSELF WITH THE MIND SERVE THE LAW OF GOD, BUT WITH THE FLESH THE LAW OF SIN.”

Romans 7. 24-25

Yes, the only one who can deliver us is Jesus Christ. Let us not stop praying to God for all the displaced worldwide. May we have peace in our hearts and may we not seek war. That there are no obstacles that separate us from the presence of God. May we manifest God's love for all humanity and may we be reflections of those little Christs to whom we are called to live. Because we are called to live freely thanks to the action of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.

God bless you.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- IT IS ALSO FOR THE IRREVERENT

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

IT IS ALSO FOR THE IRREVERENT

It is not only what we do but also how we do it.

IN some biblical versions, language is used such that instead of strengthening our lives, they raise doubts about the lifestyle we should live. For example wicked is a misused word but widely used in Christian jargon. When we have the opportunity to read text in the Greek, we find that asebes actually means irreverent. When we say that the wicked are far from God, we usually do so with a double connotation, pretending to imply that God is also far from them. But for those irreverent Christ also died, rose and justified.

“AND HOPE IS NOT SHAME; FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN SPREAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT WAS GIVEN TO US.”

Romans 5: 5

The Gospel of Christ brings us closer to understanding what it is to live from glory to glory. The Gospel of Christ gives us constant hope of what is to come. The Gospel of Christ is poured into our hearts through his Holy Spirit and above all, the Gospel of Christ is available to all those who humbly give themselves to him and accept him as the saviour of their lives.

“FOR CHRIST, WHEN WE WERE STILL WEAK, IN HIS TIME DIED FOR THE WICKED. (IRREVERENT).”

Romans 5: 6

Therefore, every time we try to disqualify a human being for not having Christ in his heart, let us be very careful, because for those irreverent he died. The Gospel of Christ is within the reach of all human beings, so let us not be stumbling blocks and bring the Good News of Salvation to all humanity.

God bless you.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - THE JOY OF JUSTIFICATION

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

THE JOY OF JUSTIFICATION

Jesus Christ, everything is through you.

HOW easy it is to give advice and say things. The difficult thing is to apply these tips and sayings in our lives. If it were that simple, that is, listen and put into practice, the world would not be mired in chaos, violence and neglect. I say this, because in one way or another, every day we listen to the Bible, we can listen to advice and comments that were extracted from biblical teachings and at the very least, we seek God in such a way that his mercies extend day after day on all mankind. We can understand the reality of why we enjoy salvation and justification when we learn to glorify God.

"AND NOT ONLY THIS, BUT WE ALSO GLORIOUS IN THE TRIBULATIONS, KNOWING THAT THE TRIBULATION PRODUCES PATIENCE;"

Romans 5: 3

The Gospel of Christ brings us closer every day to the change of mentality that we require. When we learn to glorify God in the midst of the tribulations or trials that we face in life, our patience increases and thus, we begin to observe these circumstances as a method of growth and in this way, we approach the stature of Christ.

“AND PATIENCE, TEST; AND THE TEST, HOPE;”

Romans 5: 4

Everything in life is surrounded by laws, spiritual life surrounds us with certain laws that will be fulfilled yes or yes: the joy of salvation is in the justification of Christ; If we learn to glorify God in the midst of trials, we will gain patience and thus overcome these trials. Therefore, our hopes in the Son of God each day will increase and increase, until we reach his stature or stand before his presence.

God bless you.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - BEST QUIET

 CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

BEST QUIET

A micron of silence is worth more than a ton of words.

SOLOMON said: Even the fool, when he is silent, is considered wise, when he closes his lips, as prudent. Also the Apostle James said: So also the tongue is a small member, but it boasts of great things. Behold, how great a forest lights a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of evil. The tongue is placed between our limbs, and it pollutes the whole body, and inflames the wheel of creation, and itself is inflamed by hell. On certain occasions, even if we are one hundred percent sure that we are telling the truth, the most sensible thing to do is to keep quiet. Being better quiet is also a good strategy in our lifestyle. Let us remember what Jesus Christ promised us: And when they take you and deliver you, do not worry in advance about what you are going to say, but what is given to you at that hour, speak that; because it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

"THEN THE HIGH PRIEST, RISING UP IN THE MIDDLE, ASKED JESUS, SAYING: YOU DON'T ANSWER ANYTHING? WHAT DO THESE TESTIFY AGAINST YOU?"

Mark 14. 60

Jesus of Nazareth was one hundred percent sure that he was the Christ. Therefore, at this moment in his history, he was allowing the aforementioned promise to be fulfilled and thus, the Spirit of the Father, will guide him in what he should say at that precise moment. And it is precisely this kind of self-control that characterised Jesus Christ is very rare in us. As much as we have the shortage of staying quiet, self-control is a gift of the Spirit that we must cultivate.

"BUT HE SHUT UP, AND NOTHING ANSWERED. THE HIGH PRIEST ASKED HIM AGAIN, AND SAID: ARE YOU THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE BLESSED?.”

Mark 14. 60

My mother says: a fish dies by its own mouth, and so it is, in this way I learned to remain silent because, by my reckless words, I spoil dreams, friendships and ministerial jobs that today are impossible to recover. In the art of silence, it is better for others to say the good and the bad of each one of us. If after they have drained themselves saying what they have in their hearts and we learn to listen to the voice of the Spirit, he will guide us to be his instrument and thus minister his great power.

God bless you

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - UNGRATEFUL

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

UNGRATEFUL

We cannot calculate everything that we miss by not knowing how to thank.

WHAT is the word that opens the doors? It is what they usually say to children so that they learn to be grateful, at least it is what I hear in the infant classes I attend. Be grateful is an act of nobility that dignifies whoever says it as well as whoever receives it. Being grateful makes us great but makes us vulnerable in front of those who know how to reciprocate this honour. If this is so, how much more should we be grateful to the Creator? Every day I wake up wondering, why did God choose me to be a bearer of your word to the nations? Even if we read in detail, King David questioned himself in this way: When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established, I say: What is man that you remember him, and the son of man for you to take care of? Yet you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you crown him with glory and majesty!

"But they, taking him, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed."

Mark 12. 3

Jesus Christ is teaching through parables about God's way of acting in the history of mankind. God made everything we can be enjoying right now. Nothing that exists came out of chance, everything was created by God. Therefore and understanding this truth, we are only stewards of God's resources. In a loving way we say: our house, our car, our job, our economy, but none of this ... is ours. However, God is not jealous in the ownership of things, for he is sure and confident in what he himself speaks of him. But as the word says: Although the Lord is on high, he looks at the humble man, and from afar he recognizes the proud; if we recognize who God is and what everything belongs to him, God will support our actions, because God wants to reap the fruits of the harvest that he gave us.

“He sent another servant to them; but when they stoned him, they hit him on the head, and they also sent him affronted."

Mark 12. 4

Let's not be like the Jewish people of Israel, who, being God's chosen people, decided to reject hundreds of prophets sent by God. They killed and chased them, at times they were on the verge of being extinct. Now the ball is in our court, what are we going to do with this information? What are we going to do to learn to be grateful? Until when are we going to keep stealing the glory from God? Will we stop being ungrateful and give God the glory?

God bless you.
