ON WHOSE BEHALF DID THEY DO THIS?

I can do everything in Christ who gives me the strength of my life.

    THE extension of the kingdom of heaven is not easy. Consider, for every three steps you take, five doors will open against you. I do not know of the first ministry or gospel minister who did not suffer some calamitous situation. What's more, the Christian life is a hard trial process, which comes out of them, new trials. Hence, remaining firm in faith in God is a decision that must be made daily. Perhaps for this reason, the psalmist declared: Bless, my soul, the Lord, and bless all my being his holy name. Bless Jehovah, my soul, and forget none of his benefits. He is the one who forgives all your iniquities, the one who heals all your ailments; The one who rescues your life from the hole, the one who crowns you with favours and mercies; The one which satisfies your mouth with good so that you rejuvenate like the eagle, Ps. 103, 1-5; What one must be sure of is, everything that is done to extend the kingdom of heaven in humanity, is done in the name that is above all names: Jesus of Nazareth!

“THE NEXT DAY THE RULERS, THE ELDERS, AND THE TEACHERS OF THE LAW GATHERED IN JERUSALEM. THERE WERE THE HIGH PRIEST ANAS, CAIFAS, JUAN, ALEXANDER AND THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY OF THE HIGH PRIEST OF HIM.”

Acts 4, 5-6

Let us pray together: Daddy God, if I have you I have everything, I lack nothing and I am safe in my daily walk. Now, I am aware that life is not a garden of roses without thorns, in any case, it will be the opposite. Give me the strength to support the entire religious caste that will rise up against me to stop your work.

Yes, the entire religious caste is going to rally against every Christian who wishes to spread the gospel of Christ. Many will deny the call, and others will be so daring that they will speak saying that the healing that person X was praying for was not a divine miracle, under the assumption that miracles ceased in the New Testament times of the primitive Church; In short, they will have endless excuses to make their religiosity prevail and thus try, uselessly to stall, the advancement of the kingdom of heaven. However, if we trust that the one who commanded, ordered and instructed us was Jesus of Nazareth, we will find ourselves fighting with God himself.

Let us pray together: Jesus of Nazareth, I wish to remain in your presence and actively manifest your mentality. I know that every step I take, the adversary will use to make me fall so that your kingdom does not advance, therefore, I cry out to you: fight the good fight of faith for me and grant me peace amid so much adversity, because everything that I do and say I do in your Holy Name Jesus Christ, amen.

The book of Amos, in the Old Testament, chapter five, has a serious warning for all humanity and specifically about the people chosen by God; I invite you to read Amos 5, meditate, reflect and pray to God through this apologetic text. If you have to repent, there is still time. Suppose you must continue fighting against religious society to extend the kingdom of Christ. In that case, it must be done with more zeal, because after all, everything that human beings do to extend the kingdom of heaven and its justice is done out of love. and in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, amen.

The relevance of the Old Testament to addressing anxiety begins with its composition. It is the product of dozens of authors over a whole millennium. So he catalogues an overwhelming number of traumatic events, from the murder of Abel and the oppression of Israel in Egypt to the rape of Tamar and the exile to Babylon, to name just a few. This is different from the New Testament, which is so focused and finished so quickly that similar events from the first century are not recorded, the destruction of the temple or the eruption that swept through Pompeii and may have killed dozens of early Christians. 

Imagine that you were standing near the site where the New York Towers fell on September 11, 2001. What thoughts and feelings would you experience? Almost all Americans who were alive during those attacks remember where they were that fateful day and how it felt to watch the news that repeatedly showed buildings collapsing. In my country that day was Teacher's Day, my daughters at home watching the two impacts on television as if it were a movie. The experiences that underpin the Old Testament texts are not very different. At least one disturbing event for society at large, from a natural disaster or a military invasion to national exile or political scandal, lurks behind almost all the Old Testament writing. I once said that the author of the comic strip Mafalda, he repeatedly said that he was inspired by Old Testament stories to draw and give voice to Mafalda. He said that everything was there.

It is no wonder, then, that the Old Testament is more saturated with the Bible's famous "fear not" statements than the New Testament. These documents distil the wisdom of the centuries, leading us to the council of the elders and the wisest sages to learn what it means to trust God.

 

 

 

One of the ways the Old Testament comforts the anxious is by its reliance on two pleasant literary genres. The first is the historical narrative, found in books like Genesis or Joshua. Unlike some social media profiles that are carefully designed to present only the friendly, most exciting, and successful side of a person, these stories reveal a more complete picture. Characters are presented with both achievements and weaknesses. There is Moses, the scared speaker (Exodus 4:10); Ahaz, the desperate monarch (2 Kings 16: 7); and Naomi, the bitter mother-in-law (Ruth 1: 20-21). These characters remove the stigma of anxiety and remind us that God works through broken people.

 

 

 

“Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I plan an evil against this family, from which you shall not take out your necks, nor walk erect; because the weather will be bad. At that time they will lift up a proverb over you, and there will be a lament of lamentation, saying: We were completely destroyed; he has changed the portion of my people. How he took our fields from us! He gave them and distributed them to others. Therefore, there will be no one who divides inheritance by lot in the congregation of Jehovah."

 

Micah 2. 3-5

 

The Psalms complement the narratives by offering snapshots of individuals responding to anxiety. Instead of a neat summary packaged for hindsight, David's piercing question, "How long, Lord?" (Ps. 13: 1), invites us to contemplate his active suffering and gives us permission to plead with God to put an end to our suffering as well. Asaph expresses the inexpressible when he says that God has given him only "the bread of tears" (Ps. 80: 5). Most importantly, this group of human voices offers theological solutions: “The Lord is with me; I will not have fear. What can mere mortals do to me? " (Ps. 118: 6). The comfort of the Psalms is especially felt in remembering that they are songs meant to be sung and are the inspired Word of God. This means, as John Calvin pointed out, that when we sing the Psalms during trials, it is as if the Spirit of God is singing through us.

 

Of course, Old Testament texts don't always seem like a good resource for fighting anxiety. There are moments that feel like a literary punch, including Micah's promise of judgment on the people of Israel (Micah 2: 3-5), and stories of severe testing, like Abraham's near sacrifice of Isaac (Genesis 22 : 1–18). Far from comforting us, these texts only increase our anxiety. But if we read them carefully, we find that each story is redemptive because the anxiety is momentary and is intended to draw us closer to God in faith and hope. It is never the intention of a biblical author to constantly mock a believer's fears or divert his faith in a good God.

Not all that glitters is gold and from the ashes it can be resurfaced.

 

 

                                               HOW we like everything that dazzles both the celestial stars and the characters of the moment. But at the end of everything we are a mere facade. A few years ago, I heard a teaching that told the truth about our lives: We are sick people trying to heal sick people T. Keller. When we observe people, who are so emotionally hard, we can understand that they have such a serious wound in their hearts that even God does not want to be given the opportunity to heal them. The good thing about all this is knowing that God is the Creator and as such, he is always willing to listen to our cries and yes, he has the power and authority to heal any wound of the soul, no matter how deep or ancient it may be.

 

"As Jesus came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him: Master, he looks at what stones, and what buildings."

 

Mark 13. 1

 

 

 

Today as Christians we are the Temple or the Building of the Holy Spirit. But just like in this biblical passage, we can be mere facades of opulence and false humility. We will have to understand that God knows the intentions of our hearts and as human beings, we are the ones who allow ourselves to be impressed by other individuals. God is not a man to lie or to allow himself to be mocked. God knows what we are giving him and how we are giving it to him, just remember the offerings of Cain and Abel.

 

“Jesus, answering, said to him: Do you see these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another, which shall not be overthrown."

Mark 13. 2

 

 

 

Yes, the Temple of Jerusalem fell in the seventy years after Christ. If this precious work of Herod the Great was torn down, why could not we also fall? God is giving us daily opportunities to change and correct our lives. Let us not waste time, let us run after the encounter with our Creator and recognize that he is God and that only he can heal us that heart of stone that you show us with a strong facade, let us repent and let the Holy Spirit of God operate in our lives and thus, have a sensitive heart to him.
