BAD NEWS

Everything that happens to us within divine purposes blesses us.

ON a certain occasion I lacked the confidence of a good friend; trying to do more for others, she did it her way and on at least three occasions she made arbitrary decisions. Therefore, the council of church leaders as cruel judges and executioners acted and I, instead of supporting it, made my point too critical and without consideration to put love first. So after that day and almost thirty years I lost a good friend and learned a lesson from a sad perspective.

"And when they sat at the table, while they were eating, Jesus said: Truly I tell you that one of you, who eats with me, is going to deliver me up."

Mark 14. 18

The bad news of the exchange of the Son of God for some silver coins had already made a stir in heaven, now it was time to confess it in front of the rest of the disciples. Christ did not intend at that moment to ridicule Judas, who would deliver him, but to publicly manifest to hell that he was aware of what they were trying to do with Peter and Judas. God has everything under control and no detail of our lives has escaped him and even if we fail him or at times we do “Judas”, God is not surprised.

“Then they began to be saddened, and to say to him one by one: Will it be me? And the other: Will it be me?"

Mark 14. 19

Nobody wants to be in the middle of bad news, nor be the collateral protagonist of it. Bad news like betrayal is always heartbreaking. As much as Jesus was God, as a human being, it was time to experience the “Suffering Messiah” that Isaiah spoke eight hundred centuries earlier. Everything that the Word of God speaks of us and of course of his Beloved Church, must be fulfilled, because God is not a man to lie and does not speak to waste time. When God says yes, he will be a yes and never a maybe. When God closes a door, there is nothing in creation that can open it. This is the mighty God we have.

MALAS NOTICIAS

Todo lo que nos sucede dentro de los propósitos divinos nos bendice.

EN cierta ocasión falté la confianza de una buena amiga; ella tratando de hacer más por demás lo hacía a su manera y por lo menos en tres ocasiones tomo decisiones arbitrarias. Por lo cual, el consejo de líderes de la iglesia como crueles jueces  y verdugos actuamos y yo, en vez de apoyarla, di mi punto demasiado crítico y sin consideración alguna como para anteponer el amor. Así que, después de aquel día y casi treinta años perdí a una buena amiga y aprendí una lección desde una triste perspectiva.

“Y cuando se sentaron a la mesa, mientras comían, dijo Jesús: De cierto os digo que uno de vosotros, que come conmigo, me va a entregar.”

Marcos 14. 18 RV60

La mala noticia de la permuta de la Hijo de Dios por unas monedas de platas ya había hecho un revuelo en el cielo, ahora era el momento de confesarlo delante del resto de los discípulos. Cristo no pretendía en ese momento ridiculizar a Judas, quien lo entregaría, sino manifestar públicamente a los infiernos que estaba al tanto de aquello que pretendían hacer con Pedro y con Judas. Dios tiene todo bajo control y no se le ha escapado ningún detalle de nuestras vidas y aunque le fallemos o por momentos hagamos “el Judas”, a Dios no le sorprende.

“Entonces ellos comenzaron a entristecerse, y a decirle uno por uno: ¿Seré yo? Y el otro: ¿Seré yo?”

Marcos 14. 19 RV60

Nadie quiere estar en medio de una mala noticia, tampoco ser el protagonista colateral de la misma. Una mala noticia como lo es la traición es siempre desgarrador. Por mas que Jesús fuera Dios, como ser humano, era el momento de experimentar el “Mesías Sufriente”  que habló Isaías ochocientos siglos antes. Todo lo que la Palabra de Dios habla de nosotros y desde luego de su Amada Iglesia, se ha de cumplir, porque Dios no es hombre para mentir y no habla para perder el tiempo. Cuando Dios dice sí, será un sí y nunca un quizás. Cuando Dios cierra una puerta, no existe nada en la creación que pueda abrirla. Este es el Dios poderoso que tenemos.

NO TE PREOCUPES

Trabajar solo bajo el mandato de Dios nos da tiempo para todo.

COMO seres humanos solemos mirar lo que nos falta en vez de disfrutar lo que ya tenemos. Son tantas las bendiciones que nos rodean que las hacemos habituales, de tal manera que, se vuelve cotidiano o común. Al convertirse en común lo despreciamos o lo tratamos con desdén. El trabajo para Dios y no me refiero a trabajar como ministro de Dios, sino de aquellas acciones que hacemos a escucharlo y obedecerlo. Tareas tan sencillas como cuando escuchamos que nos dice qué le sonriamos o demos un abrazo a un desconocido. Por eso, es importante, saber qué lo que estamos haciendo es un mandato directamente dado por Dios.

“Fueron sus discípulos y entraron en la ciudad, y hallaron como les había dicho; y prepararon la pascua.”

Marcos 14. 16 RV60

Menos mal que estos dos discípulos cumplieron cabalmente el mandato de Jesucristo. El supuesto desconocido entregó la casa sin reparo alguno. Sin querer este tercero fue una pieza clave en el mandato divino. Los discípulos estuvieron a la altura de la circunstancia. Ellos supieron escuchar y obedecer.

“Y cuando llegó la noche, vino él con los doce.”

Marcos 14. 17 RV60

Dos personas responsables, obedientes, productivas, guiadas por el Espíritu Santo hacen mucho más que todo un ejército de individuos desmotivados y desobedientes. Estos dos discípulos aunque trabajaran juntos para preparar todo lo necesario para la Cena del Señor, cumplieron sin impedimentos con todos los requisitos de hacer las cosas con excelencia y amor lo suficiente como para que Jesucristo se despidiera y viera los últimos mandatos de su vida, antes de entregar su vida en sacrificio. Y nosotros ¿qué estamos haciendo y cómo lo estamos haciendo para extender el reino de los cielos?

DO NOT WORRY

Working only under God's command gives us time for everything.

AS human beings we tend to look at what we lack instead of enjoying what we already have. There are so many blessings that surround us that we make them habitual, in such a way that it becomes everyday or common. By becoming common we despise it or treat it with disdain. The work for God and I do not mean to work as a minister of God, but of those actions that we do to listen to him and obey him. Tasks as simple as when we hear him tell us to smile or give a hug to a stranger. Therefore, it is important to know that what we are doing is a direct mandate given by God.

“His disciples went and entered the city, and found what he had told them; and they prepared the Passover."

Mark 14. 16

Fortunately, these two disciples fully complied with the mandate of Jesus Christ. The supposed stranger handed over the house without any qualms. Unintentionally this third party was a key piece in the divine mandate. The disciples rose to the occasion. They knew how to listen and obey.

"And when night came, he came with the twelve."

Mark 14. 17

Two responsible, obedient, productive people, guided by the Holy Spirit, do much more than an entire army of unmotivated and disobedient individuals. Although these two disciples worked together to prepare everything necessary for the Lord's Supper, they met without impediment all the requirements of doing things with excellence and love enough for Jesus Christ to say goodbye and see the last mandates of his life, before to give his life in sacrifice. And what are we doing and how are we doing it to extend the kingdom of heaven?

God will always display his glory and majesty.

 

 

                                             HOW I like to think and in the middle of these, see who could become. And it doesn't exactly mean that I live on dreams, but I have learned that part of that privilege of having such a lush imagination is a gift that God has given me. Do you know how many times I have dreamed that God appears to me and tells me directly what to do? This helped me on occasions to resolve major personal, economic, marital and ministerial conflicts. God is faithful and always warns us of the things we should do and how we should do it. Our lack of obedience and perhaps the little relationship we have with his Holy Spirit, becomes our own adversaries to listen and as is obvious, we will make mistakes by not following the advice that God gives us. When we say that God is the Alpha and the Omega, we are declaring that he knows everything. Therefore, asking God to speak to us and not obeying Him is the worst foolishness we can ever commit.

 

 

 

“And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them: Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him, and where he will enter, say to the master of the house: The Master says: Where is the room where I am to eat the Passover with my disciples? "

 

Mark 14. 13-14

What would have happened if the disciples had not carefully followed the words of Jesus Christ? We could think that at least they would have made a fool of themselves, we can imagine that in those moments they would have seen another and followed her, surely the picture that we know of the Lord's Supper would be another. And it is not a cliché, but it is so important to follow the will of God, that although we do not want to accept it, our lives depend at every moment on that obedience to God.

“And he will show you a great upper room already arranged; prepare for us there. "

 

 

 

Mark 14. 15

 

When God gives us the order to be prepared, he says it because he has placed the trust, the gifts and talents, and of course, any other tool to do his will. I will not tire of repeating how important it is to have a good and healthy relationship with God. If we are not willing to pay that price, we will miss out on many blessings, for we are not really ready to receive it.
