WE ARE WHAT WE DO
The place our decisions will take us is indisputable.
FACED with the question of what to do in our lives, there are thousands of answers. There will be someone who answers in an absurd way, while others will seek a critical look to answer. And, a few, trying to avoid all kinds of responsibilities, will say: whatever God wants! But in the end and as on other occasions I have said: "the accumulation of our decisions has allowed us to be what we are today." We could also add: “we are what we eat” or “we are what we say”. It is one thing to say that we are Christians and another is to live with a lifestyle that manifests in each one of us, the Mind of Christ.
"FOR THE LISTENERS OF THE LAW ARE NOT THE RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD, BUT THE DOORS OF THE LAW WILL BE JUSTIFIED."
Romans 2. 13
The Gospel of Christ, as the Apostle Paul came to understand it, did not limit the human being to be apprehended by the Jewish Law. But that, everyone who is a doer of it, not just a hearer, is a true child of God. This teaching is not, therefore, a speech or apology to return to the religiosity of yesteryear. It is about reflecting on what we say and do. If we say that Christ lives in us, let us do acts that reflect the risen Jesus Christ.
"BECAUSE WHEN THE GENTILES WHO HAVE NO LAW, DO BY NATURE WHAT IS OF THE LAW, THESE, EVEN IF THEY HAVE NO LAW, ARE LAW THEMSELVES,"
Romans 2. 14
We are the Bibles of those who are displeased with God, and who can read it. We are the Scriptures for today's atheists, so they will prove that God is real. We are what we do when we reflect that the Word of God is incarnate in us. We are little Christs, when the Mind of Christ is our guiding guide: For Scripture says: «Who knows the mind of the Lord? Who can instruct him? However, we have the mind of Christ.
God bless you.
