WE LIVE ETERNITY

Why wait for eternity if we can live it in this life.

EVERY past time was better, goes the popular Latin adage. But I say: all time to come will be irreplaceable. But if I want to think with the Mind of Christ, why not say: why not live as in eternity from now on? The Word of God is very clear in stating: I saw a new heaven and a new earth; because the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea was no more. And I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them; and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as his God.

“KNOWING THAT CHRIST, HAVING RISEN FROM THE DEAD, DIES NO LONGER; DEATH HAS NO LONGER RULED OVER HIM.”

Romans 6.9

The Apostle Paul, in his Gospel reminds us that death did not affect Jesus Christ. For this reason, he was resurrected and so when each one of us accepting him as the Lord and Saviour of our lives, we assume by inheritance everything that he lived. Therefore, physical death will obviously affect us; but the truth is that in eternal life, death will not affect us under any circumstances.

“FOR AS SOON AS HE DIED, HE DIED TO SIN ONCE FOR ALL; BUT IN WHICH HE LIVES, HE LIVES FOR GOD.”

Romans 6.10

If we want to live for God, we must do it right now. What use will it serve us to serve God in eternity where there will be no crying, pain, sun or cold, while here in this life we ​​are so needy? When the Kingdom of God draws near, we can verify it like this: And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues; They will take away snakes, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover. So, if nothing will affect us in Heaven, why do not we live the same here on earth, recognising that death will not affect us in eternity?
