WE ARE CONFIRMED
Our fruits will clearly say who we are.
THE Gospel of Paul, that is, the Letter to the Romans, was written for a specific audience and deals with an apparently concrete message. The opportunity that the Apostle had to write his version of what the Good News means is one of the most significant theological legacies that we have directly from a man who had a special relationship with Jesus of Nazareth. Thus, Paul implied his own version of his salvation through the work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary and his Resurrection, giving a totally different hue to the history of mankind.
"BECAUSE I WISH TO SEE YOU, TO COMMUNICATE SOME SPIRITUAL GIFT TO YOU, SO THAT YOU MAY BE CONFIRMED;"
Romans 1.11
From the other Pauline letters we know that the Apostle manifested the gift of angelic tongues, raised a dead man from his die, physical and self-applied healing as when he was bitten by a snake, gift of faith and science, etc. For this reason, his desire was to communicate the spiritual gifts, because he had personally discussed that when we live the gifts of the Holy Spirit we are confirmed and this causes in us and, in those around us, faith and trust in God who comforts us in the moment of the difficulty.
"THIS IS, TO BE MUTUALLY COMFORTABLE BY THE FAITH THAT IS COMMON TO YOU AND TO ME."
Romans 1. 12
Have we been able to experience supernatural healing in our lives? In 2005 I suffered a heart attack and immediately thousands of people on two continents were praying, crying out and fasting for my life. Thus, I was totally healthy. The people who were praying were also comforted and their faith was increased. Today I can be sharing these messages, because I was confirmed, comforted and restored in God, by the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. So this lifestyle is also available to each of us on this day.
