CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL -CONFUSIONS

 CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

CONFUSIONS

It is one thing to look and quite another to observe.

IN a popular adage it is said: - confuse a pretty little monkey with a pretty blonde,  it will not be easy to translate it into English. I have a lot of experience with this, of confusing, because having dyslexia not only confuse the words in the writing, but I also do it when speaking, something that has not helped me to speak English. As we read the word of God and try to interpret and understand it, we will use the tools we have at hand, a Bible dictionary, a concordance, an interlinear Bible, and so on. Even with everything and that, we will see that as humans, we are going to make many errors of interpretation, contextualisation, area, time or application, among others. Today's initial text, we can understand that it is given for erroneous interpretations: Jesus of Nazareth, the one hundred percent human part of Christ is crying out to God because he has abandoned him. However, when we can study - as if we could - the Holy Spirit, we will understand that he never abandoned Jesus Christ, just as he does not with any human being.

“AND AT THE NINTH HOUR JESUS CRYED WITH A LARGE VOICE, SAYING: ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACTANI? HOW TRANSLATED IT IS: MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

Mark 15. 34

The Paraclete, that is, the Holy Spirit is a promise already fulfilled by God the Father. In the case of Jesus of Nazareth, from the moment of his conception until his resurrection, he always accompanied him, it goes without saying that after his resurrection, he was also with him; because when we speak of the Father, the Son and the Spirit we are speaking of functions of a single God, which were given to us so that our limited mentality will try to understand the complexity of the personality of our God.

"AND SOME OF THOSE WHO WERE THERE SAID, WHEN HEARING HIM: LOOK, CALL ELIAS."

Mark 15. 33

Let us imagine the picture: Jesus in his death agony is speaking in Hebrew and those around him did not understand him, if not they confused his words, or perhaps they did it to continue the mockery. Today, without knowing Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic, we intend to give an interpretation to the words of Jesus. This is what is happening to us when reading certain biblical passages, that is why we cause confusion, because from the root of the matter, he was born from a confusion.
