Changing the world involves first changing my mindset.
WITHIN the maturity process, each of us will go through each of the necessary channels. Nobody is born learned and of course, experimentation will be the best school we have. Sam Chand said: "the apprentices will be able to work in the church, while the apprentices will have no church to work in." Prayer and fasting should be, so to speak, the unique and necessary ingredient in the life of the whole human being. Of course, I emphasise the life of the Christian, the curious thing is that precisely as Christians, we are the ones who invest the least in reflection with God, meditation on his Word, fasting for bodily control. I say this in comparison with other beliefs such as the oriental ones, what really take into consideration that aptitude for prayer and fasting as a lifestyle. They do not deny, nor do they hide to do it. On the contrary, they like to do it in front of the public, thus demonstrating, not only what they believe in, but also preaching with their example to others.
“HE CAME NEXT AND FOUND THEM SLEEPING; AND SAID TO PEDRO: SIMÓN, ARE YOU SLEEPING? HAVE NOT YOU BEEN ABLE TO WATCH ONE HOUR?"

Today, analysed this verse and I sincerely understand Peter. Currently I am very exhausted from diabetes, so those hours of prayer that I did daily are summarised to an average between five and thirty minutes, and as for fasting, I can only do it from 12 am to 9 am because I must consume food every two hours. But I have the faith and certainty that Christ does not ask me if I have not been able to do it for at least one hour. What I do know is that I do it, I seek God, I read every day and I constantly and mentally reflect on my life and the divine projection in me.
“WATCH AND PRAY, THAT YOU DO NOT ENTER INTO TEMPTATION; THE SPIRIT IS WILLING TO THE TRUTH, BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK.”

I am not a good example of a holy individual, on the contrary, in many of my writings I speak of my insecurities, fears and complexes. But I know that the one who paid for me has justified me before Heavenly Father and through his Holy Spirit guides and intuits me for repentance daily. In this spiritual warfare of the human being and the adversary, what we are guaranteed is that we will fail. But we have the confidence that Christ has already paid the bill, gave us his victory as a security and we have his Spirit as the giver of life. What are we waiting for to lead a life full of prayer and fasting as the theme and central axis of this?
