I WILL NOT DENY YOU
We have to be perfect like our Father who is in Heaven
WHO has not considered in his life to wear a style that pleases God as well as men? In the Gospel of Matthew Jesus Christ said: Therefore, be you perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect. And one of the ways to be perfect is to be aware of not denying Christ before men and of course before God. But denying Jesus of Nazareth is a sharp line that is very easy to cross, for example: when we place our trust in science and medicine before God. It goes without saying that God does not exist, we can also consider that denying God at the moment that instead of promoting divine truth, we let ourselves be carried away by the currents of this century.
"And Jesus said to him: Truly I tell you that you, today, tonight, before the rooster has crowed twice, you will deny me three times."
Mark 14. 30
It is innumerable the times that we are denied God and Jesus Christ. Another good example is when we forget that the Holy Spirit reveals his action in us and we assign it to any circumstance in life, such as luck or good fortune. Peter denied it up to three times, but how many times did we deny it?
“But he more insistently said: If it were necessary for me to die with you, I will not deny you. And they all said the same.”
Mark 14. 31
None of us are immune from denying God and the reality of the kingdom of heaven. God renews his mercy day after day, but this is not a license to sin at our right hand. Denying Christ is one of the strategies used by darkness to make us fall. Let us be alert and aware of our actions and sayings and when we deny God, let us approach his throne of grace and mercy, let us get daily with God and be a witness to others.
