WITHOUT FAITH
Hiding your head in the
ground will not prevent you from confronting a problem.
We human beings have
fallen into a very subtle trap and it was to allow sins to be called problems.
I do not intend with this phrase to stigmatize anyone, I only say that not
having sins has taken away our faith and therefore, there is no need to
continue acting against the adversary and all his desire for destruction, robbery,
and death. For this reason, we see more and more a sick church, I mean both the
institution itself and its members. This disease is therefore in the physical
as well as the spiritual aspect. This is where the awareness on our part fits
that we are in a spiritual war against the adversary. This war is not against
God, it is against human beings and we must lose if we do not know where we are
going to deposit our faith, because we can give it to the adversary or give it
to God. Living without faith in God is the worst thing we can do, because we
directly place the adversary as the guarantor of our lives.
"And one of the crowds
answered and said: Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit,
which, wherever it takes him, shakes him; and he foams, and gnats his teeth,
and dries up; and I told your disciples to cast him out, and they couldn't.
"
Mark 9. 17-18
We can view these
verses as an analogy for what is currently happening in our lives. Nothing
stands firm, quite the contrary, everything around us is in chaos and there is
nothing stable: marriage, family, economy, health, etc. The adversary has taken
such advantage over the church and its members, and because not over all
humanity, where he sees us, he throws us into the fire amid burning flames and
perhaps, all this convulsed situation in us, does not allow us to live with
well-being and from then delays extending the kingdom of heaven.
And answering him, he
said to them: O incredulous generation! How long shall I be with you? How long
shall I bear you? Bring it to me. "
Mark 9. 19
Today we have with us
the earnest of salvation the Spirit of God. Today we can take the upper hand
and decide if we place our faith in God or just the opposite, we continue to
allow ourselves to be manipulated by the adversary. Christ died on the Cross of
Calvary for all humanity and not for a few. In Jesus Christ we have the victory
over the adversary and his host of wickedness, let us not allow them to
continue stealing from us what God has already given us as an inheritance in
Jesus Christ.
