CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- HOW FOR GOD

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

HOW FOR GOD

Not giving glory to God is idolatry.

THE line that separates us from sin or mistake is very thin. We can find how definition of idolater, to all that person who worships idols, or who excessively loves someone or something. So, when we stop doing things for God, and we do it considering only our intellectual advances or abilities, we stop giving glory to God and we love what we are more than the one who makes us who we are. I would like to teach and for people to understand that there can no longer be dualities in our lifestyle. That is to say, as Christians, we must be complete and present ourselves with the same facet or lifestyle, at home, at work, in studies, in the Church, on the street, even in the places where we are sharing a party. Because, it is Christ whom we have to evidence with each of our acts. If this is not being the case, we are not doing things as for God, and we are running the risk of becoming idolaters, leaving aside the example that Jesus of Nazareth left us.

“THERE ARE THOSE WHO CONSIDER THAT ONE DAY HAS MORE IMPORTANCE THAN ANOTHER, BUT THERE ARE THOSE WHO CONSIDER EVERY DAY AS THE SAME. HE EACH MUST STAND FIRM IN HIS OWN OPINIONS OF HIM.”

Romans 14.5

Let us pray together: my God, I wish that being adore and exalt you. Therefore, I want to do all things for you and thereby prove that Christ is alive in me.

Now, the lack of conviction in our decisions and character makes us insecure people, therefore, we allow ourselves to be influenced by others. In this same way, we allow certain negotiations which make us move away from that, "do things as for God" and plunge them into that strange but not undesirable idolatry. The Gospel of Christ comes into our lives to give clarity through the Mind of Christ of how we should act correctly, seeking to do the will of God and with it, always do things as for God.

"THE ONE WHO GIVES SPECIAL IMPORTANCE TO A CERTAIN DAY, DOES IT FOR THE LORD. HE WHO EATS EVERYTHING, EATS FOR THE LORD, AND SHOWS IT BY GIVING THANKS TO GOD; AND HE WHO DOES NOT EAT, ABSTAINS FOR THE LORD, AND ALSO GIVE THANKS TO GOD.”

Romans 14.6

Let us pray together: Jesus Christ, you are my greatest example and you are the person I really want to imitate. You, everything you did, you really did as for God and thus, you glorified his Holy and Precious Name. Help me to stay on Your Path.

A short time ago, I explained that perfection and holiness are synonymous words. In the book of Matthew, Christ urges us to be perfect just as Heavenly Father is perfect. And the Apostle Paul repeatedly speaks about the need to be holy. Therefore, the only way to associate these words and reflect them in our lives is definitely doing things as for God. Being apart and doing the will of God, could then mean that all work or act that we do, we do it looking for the pleasure of God and thus, we will give testimony of Christ alive in each one of us.

God bless you.
