CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- WITHOUT ANY JUDGMENT

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WITHOUT ANY JUDGMENT

How difficult it is for us to look at others without passing judgment.

A short time ago I was on vacation in Colombia for a couple of weeks. There, I was able to verify a little of the reality that is lived with immigration. Whether in Pereira or Manizales, observe groups of families, lying on the ground, claiming financial help from passers-by. However, I managed to differentiate which were immigrants, displaced persons, or residents of each of these cities. In the end, you can only manage to cover only 5% of the daily amount of help that he asks you for. It is almost impossible to cover 100% in financial aid for the number of people in need. Despite my imperfections, I did not cross the fine line of judgment, that is, whoever I helped I did it without questioning anything about whether I was lying or not, or how I would use what I was giving them. Because, within the Mind of Christ is, giving without making any judgment.

“HE WHO EATS EVERYTHING SHOULD NOT DESPISE THOSE WHO DO NOT EAT CERTAIN THINGS, AND HE WHO DOES NOT EAT EVERYTHING SHOULD NOT CONDEMN THOSE WHO DO, BECAUSE GOD HAS ACCEPTED IT.”

Romans 14.3

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, Loving God help me to see humanity the same way you do. Make me see my neighbour with the same love that you see him. Help me prove Christ and that he is alive in me.

There should be nothing that leads us to limit our relationship with human beings. I remember when I was in school how they affirmed the need to accept all human beings regardless of skin color, beliefs or socio-cultural status that separated us. The Gospel of Christ must be a source of union rather than division. We have to be unifying agents in the midst of an increasingly broken society. Let us remember what Jesus of Nazareth said: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it abundantly. Christ gives us strength to unify, the adversary only wants to divide us. Precisely, eating or not eating in the same way that we would, is a mere excuse to be divided.

“WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ANOTHER'S SERVANT? WHETHER HE STANDS, OR FALLS, IS HIS OWN LORD'S BUSINESS. AND IT WILL REMAIN STANDING, BECAUSE THE LORD HAS POWER TO SUPPORT IT.”

Romans 14.4

Let us pray together: Jesus Christ, you did not make any kind of exception of people. You united the human being with God the Heavenly Father. You opened the Kingdom of Heaven, for sinners and hurt and mistreated people. A thousand thanks for your love, kindness, and mercy shown to each of us.

Jesus of Nazareth, was concerned about what the human being was living. Jesus Christ gave importance to the existential problems of the men and women around him. Jesus Christ dignified them and gave them the status of Children of God. Two thousand years later, these conditions are available to each one of us, also to those who still do not recognise Christ as their Saviour. Then, it will be our responsibility to make known the Gospel of Christ, on time and out of it, so that the Kingdom of Heaven continues to spread and without any judgment.

God bless you.
