CONFUSED QUESTIONS

Who knows how to ask good questions knows how to give the right answers.

THE art of asking good questions is developed to increase people's critical sense. Unfortunately, in the Christian church being critical is frowned upon, this is a consequence of the lack of preparation of some pastors and preachers who are not willing to resolve the doubts of all those who come to solve existential problems through these questions. But, if we detail the life of Jesus of Nazareth, we observe that he was cultivating the art of questions and answers from a very young age: And it happened that three days later they found (Jesus) in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors of the law, hearing them and asking them. We find this story complete in the book of Luke chapter 2, at this time he was at a Jewish holiday, but he stayed in the Temple doing what he liked best. Jesus was in a face of questions and counter questions.

"For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, Until I make your enemies your footstool."

Mark 12. 36

How did a Rabbi know that his student was ready to move up the ladder? And it was not exactly because of the answers given by his pupil, but because of the counter question given, as this was a clear sign of depth in the knowledge of a specific subject. If we had the opportunity to read Jewish texts we would see how they reflect and criticize absolutely everything. Today, we must question everything as the Apostle said: Examine everything; hold fast the good.

“David himself calls him Lord; How then is she his son? And a great multitude of the people heard him willingly."

Mark 12. 37

Why do we attend a certain congregation? Why do we have existential problems? Really the things as they are doing in the church was how Christ commanded? Is Jesus Christ the boss in our lives? Do we follow all the divine concepts and precepts? Why read a specific biblical version? Should we learn to read the Bible in Greek or Hebrew? Is it enough to read the Bible once a week? How deep is my relationship with God? Is the Pastor's opinion as important as biblical advice? Why do I live a Christian lifestyle? Is all writing really for us or are there segments that do not correspond to us to live? Anyway ... it is good to bring our doubts before God and human beings to resolve them, because for that, God made us thinking beings.

 God bless you.
