AND YOU, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
The kingdom of heaven is only seized by the violent.
AS a Christian I have always made a mistake in setting my expectations on the same level as what God wants for me. The mistake is in considering that God thinks like me and therefore, he must fulfil according to my needs, tastes and desires. Another mistake is to forget what God himself says through the prophet when he affirms: Because I know the plans that I have for you, ”declares the Lord,“ plans for well-being and not for calamity, to give you a future and hope. God is the same yesterday, today and will continue to be faithful in the future, therefore, if he said this more than two thousand five hundred years ago, he will continue to fulfil it and thus he will always show us his love. One of the problems with placing our expectations on the same level as God's solution is that we make ourselves a god in our own image and desire. But God does not repeat himself. God will always have new solutions and resources for each of us. Therefore, each of us can ask ourselves: what are we waiting for? What are our expectations before God? How do we react when God's response is very different from what we were hoping for or hoping for?
“And he sat down on the Mount of Olives,
opposite the temple. And Peter, Jacob, Joan and Andrew asked him apart: "

During the three years of Christ's ministry,
Peter, James, John and Andrew were always at his side and they misinterpreted
the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. They were waiting for Jesus to rise up as
the Messiah, bringing back the radiance of Israel, expelling the Romans; But
none of this would happen according to human wishes, because God had totally
different plans from the expectations of the disciples of Christ.
"Tell us, when will these things be? And
what sign will there be when all these things are to be fulfilled? "
Mark 13. 4
Today we have a number of eschatological
preaching and teachings, even some dare to give an exact date and time of when
the second return of Christ will be. But honestly, what does it matter to us if
Jesus Christ manifests himself now or five centuries from now? How does our
mentality and search for God change if we know that Christ is coming in a
couple of hours for his church? And what if God is pleased to do the rapture at
the moment that we are sleeping and we do not even hear the famous trumpets?
Today is the day to live the love of God, the rest will be in addition. Today
we have to go out and preach the Gospel as if there were no tomorrow and thus
show that Christ lives and rules in each one of us. Let us hope in God that he will never fail us
