Let us not be afraid the Holy Spirit will guide us.
to do a few job interviews to be a youth pastor here in England. I cannot deny
the fear of having to face a situation where I have to demand to speak in
English 24/7. But that same fear, I have taken advantage of it to be my
strength. For this reason, every day I present myself before God so that his
Holy Spirit continues to fulfil his task in me. Being able to prepare myself
both intellectually and spiritually is part of my maturity, because I
understood the process, because I simply failed on many occasions. What I
intend to say in this devotional is, corroborate the words of Christ by telling
us to be confident that he will instruct us at all times, through thick and
thin. And it is so, for that reason, we must expand our trust in God, that we
are as safe as Daniel in the middle of the fiery furnace, emerging victorious
in our speech as in our actions.
“But when they bring you to deliver yourselves,
do not worry about what you have to say, nor think about it, but what will be
given to you in that hour, that is what you say; because it is not you who
speak, but the Holy Spirit."
Mark 13. 11
Going to the other level would be to always see
the positive in everything in any circumstance. It is, therefore, to see the
glass always half full, never half empty. This is not a license to believe that
nothing bad will ever happen to us. Let us remember the words of Christ warning
us of the attacks, sufferings and persecutions that we are going to suffer as
“And brother will deliver up brother to death,
and father his child; and children will rise up against parents and kill them."
Mark 13. 12
We have nothing assured, in any case, for those
of us who have believed in Christ and in his salvation, we have eternal life
assured. But this eschatological promise clearly says: in whom we have placed
our security, they can betray us. Therefore, it is important to be clear that
they are not our enemies. The adversary, the accuser is our enemy. As the
Apostle would say: Because we do not fight against blood and flesh, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly regions.
God bless you.
