A MATTER OF TRUST
The problem is knowing where we put our trust.
WHEN you have suffered a significant financial
bankruptcy, you understand that in life not everything is money. It is not easy
to see how you lose 36,000 euros every week and what little you had saved, in
less than six months everything has been liquidated. Now a list of lawsuits for
real estate liens await you and even Social Security wants to seize your life
for bad financial decisions and a corrupt world economic system that we accept
as a way of life. This is what happened to me in 2008 and since then, I have
never been the same in business. But this type of situation has led me to
understand that my dependence is fixed on God and that everything for my life
comes from him. I do not say at any time that God took everything from me, I
say that my bad decisions such as accepting the global value system, led me to
be greedy trying to cover beyond my possibilities. I embarked on different
projects, many of them, nor did I consult God for his advice.
"Then Jesus, looking around him, said to
his disciples: How hard it will be for those who have riches to enter the
kingdom of God!"
Mark 10. 23
This misunderstood and misunderstood verse has
been used to say that people with high purchasing power are not worthy of the
kingdom of heaven. This type of theology is counterproductive and contrary to
the eschatological truth of the Kingdom of God. In the Kingdom of God, all
those who declaring Jesus of Nazareth as their Lord and Saviour will be saved
and enjoy eternal life. After this clear distinction there is no other
precondition for being saved. So how can we apply this verse?
“The disciples were amazed at his words; But
Jesus, answering, said again: Children, how difficult it is for those who trust
in riches to enter the kingdom of God! "
Mark 10. 24
Everything happens through a question of trust
before God. Where is our trust in God or global value system placed? If this
were the case, the Anglo-Saxon countries do not have the opportunity to be
saved and I assure you that I know whole and dedicated English people who are
passionate about the extension of the kingdom of heaven. Also, as I read this
week: if you have a roof, food, work and a means of transportation, you are
already richer than the 65% of the world's population who do not have these
types of benefits. So, because of the malpractice and application of the first
verse, wouldn't we all also be disqualified from being saved?
