CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - DEVOTEES

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

DEVOTEES

To be holy is to be set apart for God.

ONE of the physical characteristics that the Holy Spirit gives us is the need to be praying. This physical action increases our spiritual life. Prayer should be a lifestyle, for anyone who considers himself a Christian, he must live. Prayer should center our days. Because prayer to God is the exclusive means by which we can enter his presence, touching his fibres and making the heavens open in our favor. Of course, there are many ways to pray and depending on what we are willing to discuss with God, he will hear in response to them. Be very careful, this is not a teaching to manipulate God through our prayers, because God only responds to prayers that are in accordance with divine purposes for the extension of the Kingdom of Heaven and not to the childish whims that we may be talking with him. I have lived it and I regret trying to manipulate God.

“ALL, IN THE SAME SPIRIT, DEDICATED THEMSELVES TO PRAYER, TOGETHER WITH THE WOMEN AND WITH THE BROTHERS OF JESUS AND HIS MOTHER MARY.”

Acts 1. 14

Let us pray together: My God, understanding that we must be devoted to you through prayer must be a priority in my life. Teach me to pray without ceasing seeking your holy and perfect will. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The disciples of Jesus Christ, being absent from him, but guided by the Holy Spirit, know that they must be praying devoutly to be instructed in ministerial tasks. One of those duties was to compose himself and how to learn to live without the Master. At this moment, Maria and her children (these are the children that Maria had with Joseph, the adoptive father of Jesus of Nazareth) join the disciples of the Way and begin a ministerial journey that reaches our times. Therefore, as a legacy of those who started the Church of Christ, we must imitate them and be devout people in constant prayer to God.

“IN THOSE DAYS PETER STAND UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BELIEVERS, WHICH WERE A GROUP OF ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY PEOPLE, AND SAID TO THEM: BROTHERS AND SISTERS, THE SCRIPTURE HAD TO BE FULFILLED WHICH THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD PREDICTED THROUGH THE MOUTH OF DAVID AS FOR JUDAS, THE ONE WHO SERVED AS A GUIDE TO THOSE WHO ARRESTED JESUS.”

Acts 1.13

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, you give us the will and the doing of all things. In your infinite grace, you have left us your promises written in your Word, the Bible. Help us explore it and thus have the revelation of what is written in the Bible.

All of God's promises have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ. When we read the promises given by God in the Old Testament they were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The promises of God that we read about in the New Testament will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ the King who lives and reigns eternally. There is not a single comma in the Bible that is not related to the presence, image and figure of Jesus Christ. However, if we are not willing to be devout in seeking God in a constant lifestyle of prayer, we are most likely missing out on the blessings that are written in God's own Word. God speaks to us and reveals his secrets to us, because we invest time in prayer and search for his presence in his Word. This is being people devoted to God guided by his Holy Spirit.

God bless you. Remember to share this text to all the people you can.
