CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL- WHO IS THIS MATTHIAS?

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

WHO IS THIS MATTHIAS?

We are children of God and that says it all.

THE problem with having low self-esteem is that anyone can beat us up. Our lack of identity in God makes us doubt when we have to do God's Will. In many cases, we will have to superimpose the Will of God on what is popular. In other cases, we will have to follow the apostolic advice that says: Although I am a free man and without a master, I have become a slave to all to lead many to Christ. When he was with the Jews, he lived as a Jew to lead the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish law, I also lived under that law. Although I am not subject to the law, I was subject to it so that I could bring Christ to those who are under the law. When I am with the Gentiles, who do not follow the Jewish law, I also live independently of that law in order to lead them to Christ. However, on many occasions we will have to stay in third and fourth place, working from that distance, but understanding that it is God who has supported and given everything we have for his service in the extension of the Kingdom of Christ.

"AND THEY PRAYED LIKE THIS: LORD, YOU KNOW THE HEART OF EVERYONE, SHOW US WHICH OF THESE TWO YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE APOSTOLIC SERVICE THAT JUDAS LEFT TO GO TO THE PLACE THAT RIGHTED HIM."

Acts 1.24-25

Let us pray together: Daddy God, You reign from Heaven and within my heart, allow me to always do your perfect will and with it, show your love to the rest of humanity. My desire is to wear myself out to bring more souls to the feet of Christ.

The Apostles had to choose who should replace Judas. Therefore, they chose a certain Matías. But, who he was, who he was, and what Matthias did, is not very clear in the Biblical accounts we know. I don't remember reading about it in the writings of the Primitives of the Primitive Church, nor by Saint Clement, nor in the primitive apostolic Testimonies, anyway. In fact, Matthias was the one who replaced Judas. Everything that this Apostle of Christ could do is not relevant to our salvation. However, God did his Holy Will with him. God will have recovered many souls through Matthias. The Holy Spirit will have healed many by the anointing given on him. The Kingdom of Christ was extended by the work of Matías although we have no written record of it.

“THEY CAST HIM TO LOT, AND IT FAVOURED MATHIAS, WHO FROM THAT MOMENT WAS ADDED TO THE ELEVEN APOSTLES.”

Acts 1.26

Let us pray together: My God, it is your work in me that leads me to extend and proclaim your kingdom. Please, God, don't stop doing it. It continues to act through the Mind of Christ in me and totally governs my life. I tell you in the Name of Christ.

Yes, we do not know the results of Mathias exactly, but we do know that the Holy Spirit had to use him in the same way that he uses each one of us. Let us not allow the adversary to undermine our esteem and destroy us, because God was the one who freed us and gave us eternal life. Let us continue to strive in faith to extend the kingdom of Christ even if we have to do it from the front lines or from the last line of battle.

God bless you. Remember to share this text to all the people you can.
