EDUCATE WITH TRUTH
By preaching the word of God we put a target on our back.
THE art of preaching the word of God is not the
exclusive task of pastors or evangelists. Preaching the word of God is a divine
mandate established by Jesus Christ in what we know as the Great Commission:
And Jesus approached and spoke to them saying: All authority has been given to
me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit; teaching them to keep all the things I have commanded you; and behold,
I am with you every day, until the end of the world. Amen. Now, the best way or
strategy we have to fulfil this mandate is through speaking truthfully. I am an
eyewitness of the abandonment of the church due to the lack of integrity of the
pastors and the leaders of the congregation. I am not talking about sexual
immoralities or problems with money, I am saying that many want to fix the life
of the whole congregation and their house is falling apart. Many talk about
love, but when they have the opportunity they criticize a member for being the
" clown" for the moment they do. Some reject
a servant of God because he does not want to be a replica of them. The good
thing about all this is, Jesus of Nazareth passed it before us and left us an
example of it.
“When they came, they said to him: Master, we
know that you are a true man, and that you do not take care of anyone; because
you do not look at the appearance of men, but you truly teach the way of God.
Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, or not? Will we give, or will we not
give?"
Mark 12. 14
They wanted to trap Christ, but as they
themselves said: Jesus Christ acted integrally and only spoke truths. So can we
lift our heads high knowing that we are imperfect? There is a common mistake
and it is to consider that the human beings who are preaching the word of God
are perfect, but nothing to do with it. I, in multiple messages I have been
vulnerable and he confessed my bad character, how explosive I am and how
reckless I become for living an act of redress. But, nobody, nobody, absolutely
nobody can deny my passion for extending the kingdom of Heaven, for preaching
Christ, for helping the helpless, for giving more than I receive, for simply
being a bad imitator of Jesus Christ, that is, a useless servant apprentice.
“But he, perceiving their hypocrisy, said to
them: Why do you tempt me? Bring me the coin so I can see it."
Mark 12. 15
Let us not tempt God. Let us be of integrity
and educate the church with truthfulness. Let us say yes or no, but never be
like warm water.
